*Important Eligibility
Requirements
Employers must meet the following conditions:
• Must be either manufacturing or service companies that face out of state competition
• Eligible employees must work in California, and pay California state
unemployment
insurance taxes
• Make a contribution towards their employees’ training
Employees must meet the following conditions:
• Work full-time (at least 35 hours per week)
• Be on regular company payroll with Federal and State taxes deducted (no contractors or consultants)
• Must receive a W2 from company
• Pay rate at, or higher than, the stipulated minimum wage of
$14.02/hour or $28,040 annually
• Complete the required hours for each course
• Trainees can take maximum of five courses at a time.
