Greetings from the desk of Don Hicks...

I am real excited about the 16th Annual High-Tech Innovation Awards Dinner scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Hilton Hotel in Costa Mesa. This is a year we get to show that even during challenging times, or should I say especially during challenging times, innovation is alive and well in Southern California.

Product nominations will remain open until the close of business day Thursday, March 19. If you haven’t done so already, I recommend you submit a nomination. Being a finalist in this highly visible event has shown to be a big morale booster for employees and a major PR marketing opportunity. Membership in TechAmerica is not a requirement to submit a nomination and does not weigh in the judging.

Speaking of judges, we have a very prestigious group of technology judges this year. Product nominations will be judged primarily on their innovation, with considerations on technology advancement, uniqueness of competitive position, commercial viability, and positive ecological impact.

If you have already submitted a nomination, but did not receive a confirmation email, please contact Yalanda Oglesby at Yalanda.Oglesby@techamerica.org .

I look forward to seeing everyone again in May.

Good luck,

Don Hicks
