Much of AeA's work to increase
the competitiveness of the high-technology industry occurs within its
committees. AeA committees are open to all member company executives
and managers. For more information, or better yet, to get involved,
call or e-mail the committee chair listed within each committee.
Executive Committee:
The Oregon Council
Executive Committee is composed of 16 executives from Oregon member
companies who meet monthly at a member company site. Two of these
executives represent associate member firms. The Executive Committee
provides direction for local council programs and the council's public
policy activities. Each summer the executive committee holds a strategic
planning retreat to review past accomplishments and set goals for the next
year.
Emerging Business Committee:
The
Emerging Business Committee delivers high quality educational events and
programs that help entrepreneurs build successful companies. These
programs are targeted to Board Members, CEOs, Vice Presidents and others
who are in or aspire to leadership positions in an emerging growth
technology firm. By providing subject matter experts and an inclusive
forum, the AeA continues to foster and promote the formation and growth of
world class companies.
Finance Committee:
The
Oregon Council Finance Committee holds monthly events aimed at uncovering
new finance challenges. The target audience for these events include CFOs,
VP of Finance, and other members of the finance team.

Resources Committee:
The AeA Human Resources committee is
dedicated to serving the needs of HR professionals in Oregon's technology
companies. The committee's mission is to engage HR professionals in
the technology industry with programs that build on their abilities to
become change agents and leaders within their organizations.
Government Affairs
Committee: The
Government Affairs Committee works with Oregon AeA member companies to
create a public policy agenda; communicate that agenda effectively to member
companies, legislators, other elected officials, executive branch agencies,
the Governor's office, and other business associations; and accomplish the
various aspects of that agenda.
Technology
and Intellectual Property
Committee: The
Technology and Intellectual Property Committee brings together technical
managers and legal professionals through educational events to
explore common issues at the intersection of technology, business, and the
law, and to encourage AeA members to share their experiences.
