Oregon Tech Awards Program 
Winners Announced

Announced at a ceremony on May 7, 2009 the winners of this year’s Oregon Tech Awards. The winners represent the top companies in five categories.  This year, more than 60 nominations were received, with the top three in each category being selected as finalists. The winners were selected based on the biggest positive impact they were able to make in their industry and within the region.

This year’s winners are:
System/Hardware Company of the Year - 
TriQuint Semiconductor

Software Company of the Year - 
Tripwire Inc.

Technology-Service Company of the Year - 
ACME Business Consulting LLC

Emerging Company of the Year - 
Jive Software

Cool Product of the Year -

In addition, Ralph Quinsey, president and CEO of TriQuint Semiconductor  was honored as the 2009 Technology Executive of the Year.

Launches a New Set of Events
Billed as “Good Governance Matters,” the series will help increase company effectiveness by providing high quality director education through expert panelists, presenters and peer-to-peer director networking.  The AeA believes that good governance makes better companies.  AeA affiliated companies will benefit by having directors equipped with the latest governance information.

March 31, 2009:  TechAmerica Report Shows that Tech Industry Remains Vital to Oregon Economy
The Cyberstates 2009 report - which details national and state trends in high-tech employment, wages, and other key economic factors for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico - shows that Oregon's high-tech industry added 800 net jobs, a one percent increase, for a total of 86,800 in 2007, the most recent year for which state data are available...read more.
