What if I forget my password or

How can I make AeANET my
homepage?
Make AeANET your startup homepage, which is accessed as
soon as you launch your browser or when you click on the home button in the toolbar.
Using Internet Explorer?
1. Pull down the View menu and select Internet Options.
2. Enter http://www.aeanet.org in the Address text box.
3. Click on the OK button.
The next time you start Internet Explorer, you'll go
directly to AeANET.
Using Netscape Communicator?
1. Pull down the Edit menu and select Preferences.
2. Double-click the Navigator option
3. Enter http://www.aeanet.org in the Location text box.
4. Click on the OK button.
The next time you start Netscape Communicator, you'll go
directly to AeANET.
How can I bookmark AeANET?
Bookmarking AeANET allows you to immediately access
information, networking opportunities, employee benefits, risk management and cost saving
programs. To bookmark AeANET using Netscape (or add AeANET to your favorites using
Internet Explorer), click once on www.aeanet.org with your right mouse button and select
Add Bookmark or Add to Favorites from the menu.
Why does it say "Connection
timed out?"
The most common causes of this error are either a slow
network connection, an overloaded server, or the server you are connecting to is down.
Please try again later. If you are still having problems connecting to AeANET, please
contact AeA's Customer Service Center at 800-284-4282 ext. 286 or via email.
What browser is best to view
AeANET?
AeANET is fully compatible with Mozilla,
Netscape, and
Internet Explorer version 4.0+.
How can I download the latest
browser versions?
To optimize your AeANET experience, download
the latest browsers and software.
Does AeANET use cookies? How can I
enable that feature?
A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent by a web
server from your browser and stored on your computer's hard drive. Using cookies, AeANET
is able to customize your personal page ("My AeANET") as well as track popular
links and interest areas. Cookies also give us information about how many people
visit certain pages on the site. The resulting information is non-identifying, aggregate
information that we use to help us better design and improve the site.
Your browser must be set to accept cookies in order access
the Members Only area of our site. Most Web browsers automatically accept
cookies, but if your browser is not set up properly, you can change your browser to accept
cookies.
To set your browser to "Accept All Cookies"
using Netscape:
1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
2. Click Advanced.
3. Click to select the box labeled Accept All Cookies.
(Optional: Remove the check for "Warn me before
accepting a cookie." )
4. Click OK.
To set your browser to "Accept All Cookies"
using Internet Explorer:
1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet
Options."
2. In the dialog box, click on the "Security"
tab.
3. Be sure the "Internet" Web content zone is
selected (the globe icon).
4. The default selection, "Medium," allows
cookies to be stored. You can verify cookie options by clicking on "Custom
Level." In the cookies section, be sure "Enabled" is checked for
"Allow cookies that are stored on your computer;" and "Allow per-session
cookies (not stored)."
5. Click on "OK" to close the dialog box.
How do I view My AeANET from a
different computer?
You do not need to re-register. If you'd like to view
your personalized AeANET homepage from a different location or different computer simply
login with the same Username and password that you first used to create your account.
How can I search AeANET?
You can easily access our search feature. Simply go to
AeA's homepage at http://aeanet.org, locate the search field on the left side of your
screen, type in at least the first four or five letters of your desired subject, and click
the "go" button.
AeANET wants every search to be a success. Our search
engine is customer friendly. However, if you can't find what you are looking for on our
site, or have questions about navigating, please contact AeA's Customer Service Center at
800-284-4232 ext. 286 or via email and we will be glad
to help.
How can I search within a specific
document?
Ctrl+F will allow you to find a word, a word fragment,
or an exact phrase within a specific long document.

The more personal interest information you volunteer
(and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to customize your experience. Once
you register you are no longer anonymous to AeANET- you are able to take full advantage of

AeA's primary goal in collecting personal information is to
provide you, our member, with a customized experience on our website. This includes
personalization services, interactive communications, online registration for meetings,
events, and conferences, and many other types of services, most of which are already
covered by your membership dues. By collecting aggregate information about our members,

costs, and strengthen their global competitive position, the AeA Small Business CyberCenter (AeA
SBCC) offers a broad range of business services and industry advocacy programs. They

What happens if I move or need to
change my personal information or My AeANET?
As a member of AeA, you may edit your personal AeANET
account information including your areas of interest at any time by using your Username
and password.
You may also access your personally identifiable
information by mailing a signed and written request for access to: Database Management Department, American Electronics
Association, 5201 Great America Parkway, #520, Santa Clara, CA 95056-0990. We require a
signed and written request to better safeguard your information. You can correct factual
errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly
shows error. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to
verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
What happens when I switch
companies? Can I still logon to the Members Only site?
Only AeA members are allowed access to the Members Only
site. For more information about membership, please contact our Customer Service Center at
800-284-4232 ext. 286 between the hours of 8 am-5 pm PST, or via email. Please be aware that you must meet the
membership qualifications before you are allowed to join and membership is subject to
dues.

AeANET has a unique Grassroots feature which has been
customized to provide you, our members, with the ability locate your Congressional
delegations and correspond with them immediately via email, fax or regular mail on any
issue of concern to you or your company. Features include:

A Zip+4 search tool to help locate your Member of Congress.
Customized emails and sample text with each AeA action

What is AeA's policy on allowing
me to update or correct my personally identifiable information?
If you or your company is a member of the AeA, you will
be able to access all of the personally identifiable information you give us in your AeA
personal interest profile online each time you sign into the Members Only area of the
site. You may also modify this information online to reflect any changes in your areas of
interest.
You may also access your personally identifiable
